Richmond’s new city council was confirmed Monday night at a swearing-in ceremony at city hall.

Hon. Madam Justice Saunders administered the Oath of Office and the Oath of Allegiance on Mayor-elect Malcolm Brodie and the eight Councillors-elect.

Brodie was returned to the mayor’s chair with a landslide victory at the polls during the Oct. 20 civic election.

Also re-elected to council were incumbent councillors Harold Steves, Bill McNulty, Linda McPhail, Alexa Loo, Carol Day and Chak Au—joined by newly-elected Kelly Greene and Michael Wolfe.
