WHL teams big on Richmond

Western Hockey League teams were bullish on Richmond prospects in this year’s WHL Bantam Draft.
WHL teams selected four Richmond players in the annual draft held this week.
Defenceman Lukas Dragicevic led the way, selected fourth overall in the first round by the Tri-City Americans.
Dragicevic played this past season for the Delta Hockey Academy Bantam Prep Green team.
In 30 games, he scored eight goals and added 44 assists.
Caden Brown, a teammate of Dragicevic’s on the Delta academy team, was also selected in the first round, 17th overall by the Prince George Cougars. Also playing in 30 games, he scored 35 goals and added 30 assists.
Forward Arjun Bawa was selected in the second round, 36th overall, by the Red Deer Rebels, while defence man Niko Tsakumis was selected in the sixth round, 117th overall, by the Seattle Thunderbirds.
