Richmond North Centre MLA Teresa Wat, the BC Liberal Critic for Tourism, Arts, Culture, and Anti-Racism Initiatives, has marked International Human Rights Day by reiterating her caucus’ commitment to protect and promote human rights for all.

“We will continue to stand up for those rights and help build a British Columbia where everyone feels safe, respected, and free,” she said.

“On this day, over seven decades ago, Canada proudly joined others across the world in declaring that all human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights.

There is much work to continue to be done in our world to secure those universal human rights as a guarantee for all,” Wat concluded.
