Are you at the beginning of your employment journey or looking for a career change? Richmond Public Library is here to help connect community members to prospective employers.
In partnership with WorkBC Richmond and the British Columbia Hotel Association (BCHA), the library is hosting an in-person job fair at the Brighouse branch on Nov. 25 from noon to 5:30 p.m., featuring employers actively recruiting for roles within the local hospitality and tourism industries. Participants will learn how to build career skills and will connect live and in-person with hiring managers from companies located across the Lower Mainland.
There will be 10 half-hour meet-and-greet sessions with employers scheduled throughout the day beginning at noon. Capacity for each session is limited and interested participants must register online in advance, where they will be prompted to select a half-hour session.
“This past June, WorkBC Richmond had a great partnership with Richmond Public Library to host the virtual Richmond hiring conference,” says Queenie Choo, CEO of S.U.C.C.E.S.S., which operates the WorkBC Richmond locations. “Building on such success, we are delighted to organize an in-person job fair for the tourism and hospitality industry in collaboration with the BCHA at Richmond Public Library. Together, we can develop a stronger workforce for employers and community.”
