While Canadians are being encouraged to stay home as much as possible during the COVID-19 pandemic, a short outing for exercise is okay—provided precautions are taken.
People are encouraged to stay at home as much as possible and practice physical distancing whenever they must leave the house. However, there are still opportunities for mindful outdoor exercise, which can contribute to overall physical and mental health.
You can go for a walk if you:
• Have not been diagnosed with COVID-19
• Do not have symptoms of COVID-19
• Have not travelled outside Canada in the last 14 days
• Are not in quarantine (self-isolating)
• Are not isolating
If you choose to go out for a walk, do not gather in groups and stay close to home. Always keep a distance of at least two metres from those outside your household.
