Local Ukrainian society hosting rally

The Ukrainian Community Society of Ivan Franko is holding a rally this Saturday (March 5) in support of Ukraine.
The rally will take place from 1 to 2 p.m. at Richmond City Hall, under the Ukrainian flag. There will be some speakers and then a march from city hall to the Minoru Centre for Active Living.
Named for Ukrainian writer, scholar, and patriot Ivan Franko, the society’s first hall was built in 1937 on its current site on Francis Road. It was re-built in 1939 and 1986.
Other nearby rallies are taking place on Saturday at the Vancouver Art Gallery and Sunday at Jack Poole Plaza.
