The 2nd annual Steveston spot prawn and seafood celebration is wrapping up this weekend.

Since May 16, the event has celebrated the coastal culture with many activities including fresh seafood brought into Fisherman’s Wharf daily, chef demonstrations, and locally caught seafood featured on restaurant menus as part of the Dine About program.

The Dine About program features a partnership between 12 participating local restaurants, chefs, and Steveston fishers. Foodies can enjoy seasonal spot prawn dishes prepared by local chefs and save $2 off their meal with the Spot Prawn Digital Passport.

It is also the last chance to “buy off the dock” at Fisherman’s Wharf, as local fishers return each morning with their seafood bounty of the day. Visitors are recommended to arrive early, bring cash, and a reusable bag for the last chance to indulge in the seasonal delicacy.
